Safe for use with all chemical peel acids, the Neutralizer Solution Spray is designed to terminate the action of the peel procedure by preventing further penetration of the acid.
Although some acids may be self-neutralizing, it is strongly recommended to always keep a neutralizer on hand until you know how your skin reacts to acids. A neutralizer will allow you to control the depth of any peel and stop the exfoliation process, should any adverse reactions occur. Allowing a peel acid to remain on the skin for too long can result in exfoliation beyond desired results which can cause excessive redness, irritation or breaks in the skin barrier.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Always apply the Neutralizer Solution Spray at the end of any chemical peel procedure to prevent over-treatment of the skin.
We strongly recommend conducting a patch test 3 days before applying any peel to a large area of skin to ensure no negative or unusual reactions occur.
When applying any peel, it is important to first begin building up the skin's tolerance by starting with milder, lower strength acids before attempting stronger peels and by using a daily exfoliator for about a week prior to peel application.
Prepping the skin with an exfoliator, such as our Medpeel Glycolic 10% Daily Exfoliator, will ensure a more even, thorough absorption of the peel acid. Continuing to exfoliate regularly in between peel treatments will also prolong your results.
